World Cup

The 2006 World Cup, held through this month, boasted thousands of police officers on the ground but there was plenty of security behind the scenes. There was a significant increase in video surveillance but even better cooperation among mostly European countries in sharing identification of past troublemakers. Many were unable to even enter Germany.
