Wi-Fi Access Control

February 1, 2005
Viscount Systems Inc., Burnaby, British Columbia, has released a Wi-Fi module for its MESH access control system. MESH RFID reader chains can connect directly into Wi-Fi networks without any separate controllers. All door processing is done on a remote MESH server and programming is Web-based. MESH readers have built-in I/O for door strikes and exit devices and Wi-Fi-based addressable polling to detect reader, power and cable problems.
