Fisk University, a private university in Nashville, Tennessee founded in 1866, has received a grant from the U.S. Department of Education's Project School Emergency Response to Violence (Project SERV) to support campus safety improvements after bomb threats that targeted historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in early 2022.
Fisk University was awarded $60,000 in Project SERV funding, which it plans to use to boost campus safety, including security guard resources and equipment.
