Auston Davis has been named the new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Versant Health, a vision care company and subsidiary of MetLife.

Davis brings a wide range of experience serving in information security leadership roles over the past three decades. Most recently, he served as CISO at HeartFlow, where he led global security strategy and operations and drove risk management. Prior to this, he served as CISO at Stanford Children’s Health, Deputy CISO at Kaiser Permanente, and Director of Global Threat Response and Investigations for Symantec.

Davis has extensive knowledge of strict regulatory requirements and how they impact security, plus a keen ability to creatively consider how cybersecurity impacts all business functions. He is a 23-year veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserves, where he held multiple cybercrime and security roles.
