The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has designated April as the first-ever Emergency Communications Month. Emergency communications not only enhance public safety interoperable communications at all levels, but also helps preserve lives and property.
Through its emergency communications mission, CISA leads operable and interoperable public safety and national security and emergency preparedness (NS/EP) communications efforts. In addition, CISA supports and promotes the ability of emergency response providers' ability to communicate in the event of a natural disaster, terrorist act, or other hazards.
