Eun Young Choi named first National Cryptocurrency Team Director
The Department of Justice (DOJ) has named Eun Young Choi has been named the first Director of the National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team (NCET), according to the Department of Justice (DOJ). An accomplished leader on cyber and cryptocurrency issues, Choi will spearhead the department’s efforts to tackle the growth of crypto crime.
The NCET comprises attorneys from across the DOJ, including prosecutors with backgrounds in cryptocurrency, cybercrime, money laundering and forfeiture. The team will set strategic priorities regarding digital asset technologies, identify areas for increased investigative and prosecutorial focus, and coordinate with domestic and international law enforcement partners, regulatory agencies and private industry.
