In a blog post, Amazon announced that it is deploying its Amazon One biometric palm-scanning payment system to a Whole Foods store in Seattle, with plans to deploy the system in several more Whole Foods in the coming months.

The biometric scanning system allows customers to enroll once and from then on be able to pay by just scanning their palm. The system is already deployed in many other Amazon facilities, including Amazon Go, Amazon Go Grocery, Amazon Books, Amazon 4-star, and Amazon Pop Up.

Amazon has its eye on eventually selling its system to entertainment venues and other commercial customers.
