Camilo Sandoval assumes position as Federal CISO

Camilo Sandoval is the next Federal Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), according to Fedscoop.

Sandoval is listed as the Federal CISO on the council’s membership page, and his own LinkedIn suggests he joined the role in October. He is a former Trump campaign staffer and adviser who also served as acting CIO of the Department of Veterans Affairs for a short period of time. In addition, Sandoval was the head of data operations for President Trump’s 2016 run for president.
