Home » PA Governor Tom Wolf Signs Bill Allowing School Security to be Armed
Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf signed legislation that will allow security personnel to carry firearms on campus.
The bill, sponsored by Sen. Mike Regan, R-Cumberland County, clarifies a law that passed last year to allow sheriffs and deputy sheriffs to serve as school resource officers. It also clarifies that security guards have the authority to carry firearms.
