To encourage more women to join the industry, (ISC)² and the Center for Cyber Safety and Education are offering scholarships to women pursuing degrees in the field of cybersecurity.

Recent (ISC)² research estimates a worldwide cybersecurity workforce gap of 2.93 million. The Cybersecurity Workforce Study estimates only around 24 percent of cybersecurity professionals are women, leaving much room for improvement in representation as we also work toward closing the workforce gap.

Applications are open to students pursuing both undergraduate or graduate degrees related to cybersecurity. The scholarships are open to students around the world, attending either full-time or part-time and either online or in-person. As many as ten awards will be awarded in the amounts of $1,000-$6,000. The deadline for applications is April 15, 2019.
