New Bill in Illinois to Ask Gun Buyers to Show Social Media History
Illinois state Rep. Daniel Didech has proposed a law that would require police to screen social media accounts of potential gun buyers.
The law would ask Illinois gun buyers to volunteer the handles of their social media accounts, rather than asking buyers to also hand over their social media account passwords and allow authorities access to their browser histories, as a New York bill does.
