According to the 2014 Unisys Security Index, the top three individual concerns in the U.S. are identity theft, bankcard fraud and national security in relation to war or terrorism. While this year’s Index is marginally higher than 2013 values, it remains at the low end of the spectrum since the benchmark survey was introduced in 2007 (Index was 151 in 2007).
For national security threats apart from terrorism, 34 percent of Americans registered serious concern about a serious health epidemic occurring in America.
