Florida Senate Passes School Background Check Reform for Contractors
The Florida Senate passed a House bill April 25 simplifying security checks on school sites, The Jacksonville Business Journal reports.
Under the current bill, if a contractor of vendor wants to have workers on school grounds, the contractor must pay to send them through a security clearance process. If the employee passes, they receive an industry-specific badge that allows him or her to be on school grounds for work, the article reports.
