Missouri Gov. Seeks to Keep State Security Records Closed
Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon is urging renewal of exemptions from Missouri’s open records law for security systems of government buildings and policies for responding to terrorism, according to an article from The Associated Press.
The exemptions protecting this information from disclosure expired at the end of 2012, the article says. Nixon has scheduled news conferences on the topic Friday from the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) and the Missouri State Highway Patrol General Headquarters in Jefferson City. Law enforcement and public school district officials were scheduled to take part, AP reports.
