Lawsuit Over Disney IDs and Social Security numbers
Several Disneyland employees have filed a lawsuit claiming the company is violating the law by issuing worker IDs that are embedded with Social Security numbers that can be read by smart phones.
The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles seeks class-action status for up to 20,000 current and former Disney employees for invasion of privacy and violations of the California Constitution and business code.
