Government agencies face a major void when it comes to issuance of badges. An employee who is onsite for more than 6 months must be issued a PIV/PIV-i card. For all other employees, vendors, contractors and visitors – each agency is on their own as far as issuing badges. Commercial Identity Verification credential (CIV) cards leverage the PIV-i specifications without the requirement for federation. CIV cards will fill the void and standardize the issuance of badges, but they also create a layer of security as CIV cards are resistant to forgery and must be authenticated by a local access control system.
In this session, Quantum Secure will address the following:
o One-centralized system to manage ALL identities – PIV/PIV-i and CIV Cards
o Allows for real-time auditability of identities
o Reduces the cost of managing the cost for one time tokens
- CIV Card Ecosystem – what does it take for an agency/enterprise to issue CIV Cards
- Benefits realized with CIV Cards:
