The School of Law Enforcement and Justice Administration at Western Illinois University is internationally known for academic excellence. The School of LEJA is comprised of 35-plus faculty members, ranks among the top law enforcement programs nationally. As the largest department at WIU, there are more than 1800 undergraduate and 70 graduate students pursuing degrees. We offer our students a rich blend of theoretical administrative and practical knowledge as well as teach valuable research skills. Those who have earned the degree occupy positions of responsibility across the United States and in several foreign countries.
APPOINTMENT: 9-Month Position, Starting August 2011
QUALIFICATIONS: A terminal degree from an accredited institution and teaching, scholarly, or professional experience in security are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: RESPONSIBILITIES: Successful applicant may be required to teach Law Enforcement and Justice Administration undergraduate and graduate courses as assigned. Other duties assigned as required by the Director of LEJA.
RANK & SALARY: Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

At WIU, one can receive a Bachelor of Science and/or a Master of Arts degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration. A Police Executive Certificate is also available to post-graduate students and is designed to prepare future law enforcement executives and current executives for the future. We also offer to undergraduate students the option of acquiring a minor in security administration, fire administration, and, in conjunction with the Department of Chemistry, forensic chemistry and forensic science.
