ASIS International Signs Agreement with the International Association of Chiefs of Police

ASIS International and the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the world’s oldest and largest nonprofit membership organization of police executives, have signed an agreement to promote cooperation and partnerships between the two groups for public and private safety and security, and to develop collaborative, effective information-sharing programs.

Both associations have groups dedicated to public-private partnerships. ASIS has a Law Enforcement Liaison Council (LELC) and IACP has a Private Sector Liaison Committee (PSLC). Both have supported private security and law enforcement partnerships that have made a significant impact on the effectiveness of public safety and security.

According to the terms of the agreement, the two organizations will continue their commitment to the goals of the LELC and PSLC, and enhance these efforts in the best interest of the organizations. They also agreed to review their individual constitutions and bylaws to assure that public-private partnerships are clearly articulated as a desired organizational outcome.
