You need to deal with minors differently than with college students, according to Berkly Trumbo, national business manager for fire safety and security at Siemens Industry Inc.
It is also a matter of location, says Trumbo. There are differences in security needs when comparing rural to urban campuses as well as large to small venues. What really matters is for security to interview the various stakeholders. “It’s important for security to have a seat at the crisis management table,” he says. “Everyone should play from a single sheet of music.”
