Westchester, N.Y. police have broken up an organized crime ring that targeted ATM machines in affluent neighborhoods.
Police said that ATM card readers and pinhole cameras have been recovered from machines in Bronxville, Pelham, Yonkers and Yorktown.
Five men allegedly took information it gleaned from skimming ATM machines and then cloned new cards. Then they use the cloned cards to withdraw cash at ATM machines in Manhattan.
The men made off with roughly $1 million that police know about.
