State Department Employee Illegally Accesses Passport Applications

A State Department employee was put on probation for a year for accessing more than 125 confidential passport applications of celebrities, said an AP report.
 
Kevin Young, of Temple Hills, Md., is the eighth current or former State Department employee or contractor to plead guilty in an ongoing criminal investigation of unlawfully accessing confidential passport files.
 
 
Young, who worked for the past eight years in the Passport Special Issuance Agency, was also ordered to to perform 100 hours of community service, said the report.
